We looked around at several data and case management systems before deciding on OSCaR. The training and ongoing support in setting up the system has been terrific!
OSCaR is being utilized by multiple Social Work actors, including the Government and NGOs. Moving towards a national case recording system means that information can quickly be shared between organizations to better inform interventions for children and families. In the case of emergencies, this enables those involved to act promptly in a more informed way.
This system is one of the foundational pillars of building an effective and responsive child protection system, to have multiple agencies and Government all using the same system is both remarkable, and a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Child Protection community.
OSCaR does exactly what we've been wanting our case management system to do, but in a far more efficient and simplified manner. It has cut out a lot of clunky and repetitive systems we've set up through Word documents and Dropbox, and our case workers are actually excited about moving over to OSCaR because they can see how much easier their documentation will be.
I think that this system could make a huge impact in Cambodia's child protection sector. So far the support from CIF has been great. I'm thrilled to be on board!
Having OSCAR system in place, we have a uniformed data entry to record and to analyze. It is safer and accessible everywhere. It allows us to manage case flow efficiently from enrollment to exiting from programme.
OSCaR system has many significant positive points that help support my daily work. I don’t need to take documents with me during my visit with clients anymore. I can work everywhere, not only at the office. I can view data, record data, or access the system anywhere on the internet. It is especially quick and easy to count the number of clients and families I work with while tracking the time period that clients have been receiving services from our programs.
